Started playing: Recorder when I was 6, Piano at 10, Brass (Tuba & French Horn) at 12, bought a Sunn Mustang strat copy & Marlin 10w amp (with overdrive) when I was 16 and never looked back. Had 3 lessons and many jams with friends & relatives.

Main gear: Sunn Mustang (I know its cheap but its got a great tone), Squier Telecaster (new schetcher bridge, drilled through and Kent Armstrong HotRails humbucker in the bridge) and Gordon Smith Gypsy 2 (I think), called the "Marriage Breaker", it did but it was worth it - my fave guitar. Amp wise I have a Fender 75 (1 x 12" combo has since I realised that you just couldn't swing it with a tranny amp!) and a SJB VS (local maker, helluva beast - amp & cab). Various effects and Zoom 9002 Pro for headphone practice.

Favourite music: I love loads of music but some of my constant faves are Jimmy Page, David Gilmour, SRV, Joe Satriani, Hillal Slovak & John Frusciante (RHCP). More recently I have been impressed with Incubus's Mike Einziger and New York Jazz guitarist Wayne Krantz (nice!).
